| Well, he throw put in a smiley, so maybe he wasn't being entirely serious. Whilst I don't quite get how a beer can be "curiously aimless", especially one that's as bad as the one he's described, I have a hard time thinking disagreeing with the idea of more than half of Franconian breweries brewing non-defect-free beer. As a user of r8beer myself, I've encountered quite a few of Jeff's ratings of Franconian beers I know and love or dislike. His palate does seem to be properly calibrated, if a little intense. (Gänstaller's great, but the BEST BEER IN THE UNIVERSE?!?!?) I think the lot of youse should just *move* here and stop killing the planet with the bi-monthly flights! |
