| If you somehow have the time on the Tuesday of your arrival, take a train south to Altenstadt / Waldnaab. Walk up to Neustadt / Waldnaab, because Zoiglwirtschaft Zum Waldhauser is open that day. You can go to Loistl and Weissen Schwan on Weds & Thurs. If you can get a ride up to Mittertech, visit Zoiglbauer too. Walk up to Käck'n in Neuhas too on Friday. The Zoiglstub'n up there are great. The Oberpfalzer Hof is a comfortable clean place to stay. So is the Weisser Schwan. So is the smaller but still quite pleasant Waldaabtal in Neuhaus. You could also book four nights with Johanna Mann in the single room or the one-bedroom apartment, or check with the Köllner family who run Fiedlschneider. |
