| Yes, normally Spezial Märzen is brewed from their own smoke malt. But someone recently heard or read that the smoke malt output was only enough for the Lager. Therefore the discussion at Akkurat. This may have been a temporary problem. You would think that it should be obvious if the Märzen was smoked or not, but you always have to consider the placebo effect of having your Märzen poured by gravity from a Spezial Fass into a Spezial glass. |
