Franconian Beer Message Board

Hey, hold your horses, Mark, it was meant as a lighthearted comment - go and have a pint of whatever you fancy; I'll be forced to sample the products of Diageo tonight, sure you can do better than that. Really, the point was about the way that drinking habits in Ireland (and many other places) have changed. Guinness had a go at attracting a younger clientele with Guinness Light, Extra Cold and that peculair white beer that they produced - can't remember it's name. However, none were popular with younger drinkers. Now, they seem to have abandoned the process and are trying to jump on the 'craft' beer market with a Smithwicks pale ale. Quite fancy trying it but none of my locals sell Smithwicks although several have the beer mats. Anyway, I get the message, so think it's time to kick Blue Moon into touch (oops, sorry, a football analogy!) - |
