I went to Hummer last year with a friend as we were coming back from Appendorf by bike. They were actually renovating the Pension at the time, but the brewer let us come in and have some beer on tap while chilling on a bench out front. We got a tour of the brewery as well, which he was proud to show off. He claimed to have constructed a good portion of the brewing equipment himself and there was a lot of borrowed material from his brother's or perhaps cousin's (I believe that is the relation) old brewery across town. He said that he did not have any plans to expand beyond the operation that was running in the basement of the Pension, but you can purchase bottles for private consumption. I would also echo the other comments about Binkert's that were previously mentioned...
