Roppelt's is part of the "Kreuzberg/Hallerndorf" bit at that there link. Agree with Jason that Roppelt's beer is maybe not the best for everyone --and it does vary-- but it's the combination of the place and the crowd (incl Roppelt family), along with the beer that make it perfect for me. Griess and Witzgall, in particular, are absolute musts, though IME I'd put the Schmausenkeller a notch below these, and the Burgebracher one a further step down. View from the Schmausenkeller is worth the journey, FWIW.
