It's the same with KEG's (for Café Abseits and other professional customers). Some breweries have a deposit (between 20 and 50 Euro), others not. But for us as a regular customer they count the KEG's we have got without deposit. We would have to pay a damage for the KEG's we have lost. In the non-direct distribution channel (over wholesaler) deposits are normally. If You buy beer at a brewery they have different systems. Some breweries give the barrels without deposit but You have to underwrite a delivey note, so the brewery can send You a bill if You don't give back the barrel. For foreign customers some breweries ask for a high deposit because the replacement value is higher as the normal deposit. |
