| Definatetely agree about Gambrinus in Weiden, plus the other brewery on the town square (name escapes me) that brews zoigl style beers (whatever that means). Gambrinus was another brewery that looked like it had once been significant, but the tap room was run down and they only had bottles, no draft. A shame, I can't see it lasting much longer. I will revisit Rothenstadt in May. Do you live around eastern Bavaria / western Czech Republic? I am going to Plsen in February and wanted to take some trips out to a couple of interesting bars in Klatovy and Domazlice. If you are familiar with these places perhaps I could email a few questions to you? |
