| Recently had an experience with about 8-10 Germans working at a few trade shows. I was the only American in the bunch. So tried to pick up more of the language since English was not spoken too often. Problem was most were Franconian and spoke the local dialect. I can't make a complete sentence to save my life but I know I can insult almost anyone in Franconia. It is fun to learn, biggest problem is I have no one to practice with after the trade shows are over. Very interesting language for sure. |
