Forchheim cinema trivia |

| My first visit to Forchheim (2001?) I was drinking in the Schemme at Hebendanz and the "new best friend" who we met told us about it. My German wasn't as good then and I thought it stared Michael Douglas and was a much more recent movie. When I got back home and figured out what movie his was talking about, my first though was "boy nothing much must happen there as they are still excited about a movie made there 40 years ago." Living in LA probably makes me a bit jaded about that -- our condo complex could probably have it's own entry in IMDB  I did rent the movie -- I was going to say I enjoyed it but it is not that kind of movie -- I am glad I watched it and did get a thrill when I recognized things (like for Forchheim Rathaus). It is worth adding to your Netflix queue. |
