Just returned from the wettest week in Bamberg ever |

| Unfortunately too wet to do too much walking, & the day i had planed to do the strullendorf walk was a public holiday so was uncertain of busses opening hours etc. had to limit my trips to places near stations, but managed Kraus in Hirchaid, Goller in Zeil, Neder & Eichhorn in Forchaim, & great new place for me Schwanen Brau in Ebing, they only do one beer a Dunkles but worth the visit, Also managed the Griefenklau, Spezial, Fassla, Klosterbrau (not impressed with the bock this year) Schlenkerla & various bars around Bamberg with a special mention to Cafe Abseits great selection as ever, The Pelikan, three interesting bocks in bottles Holzlein, Adler, & Zur Sonne, & the Weissebierhaus, which had the Reh bock from the village i missed out on. & the Weinstube Pizzini where i had a litre bottle of Pax Brau from Oberelsbach (very nice) |
