We figured there must be various attractive deals. Mrs would get a Jaarstrajectabonnement from her employer, maybe even 1st class! And as the beer goes...it was interesting to see various bocks on, mostly from the larger breweries. Grolsch was very decent but sweetish, Amstel not so nice, and Jupiler...well, I couldn't finish it. A bottle of La Trappe Bock is in my cellar waiting to be tried. I thought the smoking ban was like Bavaria's, but no, this is sadly not the case. I must say, however, that it worked pretty well at various places with little smoking cabins built in -- I couldn't smell a thing at a few of them. Sadly, Demmers' got to be overloaded at times, so while we didn't go home reeking and coughing like we did in years past, we could at least smell the filth at times.
