Why not take the train to Hallstadt?  Though I do recall that the first time we went to Hallstadt we walked from Bamberg Hbhf along a pretty cycle path through a plethora of 'summer gardens' - it was also very flat, which at least one of us was very pleased about! If you're in Kemmern, you might just call in Leicht to see what beers they are serving nowadays - has a very pleasant garden at the rear if the weather is good, which it must be if you're biking.  On the other hand, what about the new brewery in Breitengusbach? P.S. Weather is beautiful here today - which is good because it is a public holiday.  Sadly, no kellers to visit.
