The conditions for lagering just about anywhere, at least for homebrewers, consist of buying an old fridge or chest freezer and doing a little modification work with a temperature controller (in the case of the freezer) to create lagering chambers. You could even see what the effects of cold-conditioning an ale are like (compare to Altbier). |
