| Confirmed that Füchschen contains no Munich malt. Just Pils, CaraPils one other crystal malt (can't remember which) and some roast for color. Also interesting is they have in recent months switched from Weyermann to BestMalz (Heidelberg) for their roast malt as they found the Weyermann too harsh. Pils malt is from Durst -- which is what Uerige used to use -- but that was years ago. We remarked that the Füchschen seemed smoother this year than in the past (before we learned about the switch). |
