Basingstoke is pretty much out of consideration at this point. We still think we'd need southern weather, but would miss the northern culture. Then again, in the grim, sarky North, I wouldn't have to brew my own! As it turns out, the weather's not going to be as nice as one could hope for today. I am a "fair weather" Bierkellergänger, and don't really relish the idea of sitting around under clouds in 15°, as is predicted for today. And we've got puppy school at 16.00. So maybe an early hour at the Keller and then on to puppy class. An hour, that I could tolerate.
