Excessive Carbonation |

| I don't think anyone on this forum thinks over carbonation is a good thing. I'm pretty sure we all agree that over carbonation affects the taste of beer. The difference is that some are more sensitive to it than others. For example, while you may consider Keesman (for example) to be overly gassy to the point where it is not drinkable I do not. I'm quite happy to wallop it down in the Schwemme at least once or twice on every visit. I am yet to have a beer in Franconia that I considered over carbonated to the point of undrinkable. I guess I'm used to it as most of our beers served in pubs over here are kegged and served with CO2 added. But I do enjoy cask ale and I do agree that the flavor is better. |
