| They have written that they will publish a list of beers in some days.. The nickname Biersensoriker is a ironical invention of a friend. The background is that many Germans make the diploma Biersommelier (a workshop of the Doemens Academy) especially in Bamberg, where we have two workshops each year. It's a kind of influenca. You can say also: a successful business model of the Doemens Academy. Norbert and me has said we don't need such a title. We say proudly: "I am not a beersommelier!". Then the journal of the Franconian Brewery Museum has published an article about "Das Bier des Tages" and Norbert. Because he isn't a brewer, a brewmaster or a beer sommelier, they have used the fancy name "Biersensoriker". The Germans love titles. And sometimes such nicknames generate their own success and other people continue to use it without to understand the irony. |
