B.t.w.: "Metze" (i heard the word for the first time…) is an ancient measure of capacity ("Hohlmaß") or dry measure, mainly for grain (15 - 20 l with regional differences). I guess "bushel" is a pretty good translation! "Keimfreudig"is hard to translate, it means anything as "to germinate very well". |
