Saturday event in Strassgiech...Private Function

Slight bit of quasi-smokiness, especially at the beginning. Lovely, classy lager, though too strong at >5%. Would drink it again. No contest between it and the Leikheim Steinbier...perhaps not surprisingly! Mönchsambacher is indeed a rather "empty" beer compared to umpteen other similar beers with more character; I can barely drink it nowadays, though it's been a long Time since I've had it bay. Anstich.
