Since some months Weyermann offers visits without a reservation each wednesday at 2p.m. meeting point: the door of the enterprise, Brennerstraße http://www.weyermann.de/ger/fuehrungen.asp?go=fue&umenue=yes&idmenue=9&sprache=1 2,5 hours, 15 € You get a small tasting of Weyermann beers as part of the visit of the Braumanufaktur Weyermann which is part of the visit of all departments of Weyermann. If You are a group (8 to 20 members) You can get a visit on other times with a reservation. If You are alone, maybe You can ask if a (english speaking) group has made a reservation during the time of Your visit in Bamberg. I think the most groups have no problem with You. But it would be necessary to ask the group. Ask Andrea Kundler andrea.kundler@weyermann.de who can also give You further informations about the regular tour without reservation (wednesday, 2 p.m.) Near the entrance of the enterprise You find a "Fan-Shop" with many merchandisung material, books etc. and also a changing offer of beers. Maybe around 10 different beers. Price: 2,50 € and 2,50 € deposit per 0,5 l. This shop is opened from monday to friday from 10 to 12 am and 1 to 4 pm (on friday only to 3 pm). Maybe it's necessary to ring a bell. Then a member of the Fan-Shop team will come to open the shop for You. They have no tasting room or a kind of pub. Our Café Abseits offers 4 to 6 different Weyermann beers. Actual: - Schlotfegerla (a smoke beer) - India Pale Ale - Wheat Wine - Imperial Stout - Honey-Chili Porter We focus on special beerstyles from Weyermann because we can't sell maybe a fraconian Kellerbier for such a high price in the Café Abseits (6 € per 0,5 l in the pub, 6 € including deposit for take-away). Sometimes we offer Weyermann beers on tap. If You only want to have a short, unofficial visit of the Braumanufaktur Weyermann (which they don't offer regular), You can try to contact the guys who are working there (the brewery is part of the enterprise building). Dominik Maldoner (chief brewmaster) https://www.facebook.com/dominik.maldoner.9?fref=ts Adam Brown (an australian brewmaster) https://www.facebook.com/adam.brown.758?fref=ts Matthew Jessop (a australien trainee) https://www.facebook.com/matthew.jessop.79?fref=ts But it depends on their time. In die next days they have much to work for and on the fair trade Drinktec in Munich, where Weyermann has a stall and offers also beers for their customers and visitors of this fair trade.
