Griess Does Vary

No question, the beer does vary. And yes, there's a phenolic note that might drive one to distraction. I've had Kellerbier there that was clearly the leftovers from the barrel the day before. Most disappointing. I would say that it's best enjoyed after working up a thirst on the way up there, but then, you had indeed done that already! Do get yourself a bottle -- have one at Café Abseits! It's cleaner than the draught IMO, though still unfiltriert und mit Hefetrub. Gerhard may also have some bottled Witzgall Landbier.
