| The Briton's Protection supposedly went downhill a few years ago. I've been twice, and indeed was less impressed on the second visit, probably 4 years ago or more. First visit was fabulous, at the start of a long first-full-day of pub crawling in Manchester. Not a big fan of Lee's Bitter, though the Mild -cum- Dark is nice enough. There's supposedly a new Manchester Pale Ale now that gets all kinds of raves, but comes in a trendy glass, so, beware. |
