OT: Visit to Manchester 2

Very interesting to hear your impressions of the place where you used to live. Actually, I recommend the Marble Arch for the guest beers, the food, and of course the classic *place* itself, almost *despite* the house beers, which seem quite lacking to me. There's a huskiness, as opposed to a nice strong hop bitterness, to the Manc and Pint which, now that I think about it, reminds me of huskiness in the crappier Franconian lagers (e.g. Mahr's, Weißenohe). Hope you make it to the Jolly Angler, I'd love to hear what you make of it.
