OT: pallet - palate -pellet -palette

It was Whitbread's flagship pub when they tried to take advantage of Camra's increasing popularity in 1990s (I think). I used to go into the Bull's Head years ago but don't have any special memories of it. There was also a Burtonwood pub close by and, going up London Road towards Piccadilly, there was a small pub called (I think) the Coach and Horses - long demolished but situated by the station approach. Site now occupied by that monstrous glass office building.
