| As for Spezial, a long time ago Christian Merz told me he produced the wort and sent it off to a "friend" where it was fermented and bottled. My understanding about Schlenkerla is that the wheat beer is brewed elsewhere but with their malt. Again, this is from years ago. And does Fässla brew their wheat beer? I didn't they did in the past. With all the Pils and Lager they are selling these days, I'd be surprised if the used their limited capacity to brew wheat beer -- but again, I don't have direct knowledge. |
