2011 vs 2012 Mönchsambacher Weihnachtsbock |

| The 2012 was a shade darker than the 2011. Also notably less carbonated, which I normally like, but in this case, with this beer, it wasn't a plus. This beer always reminds me of a lagered, lower-alcohol, light-amber Duvel (or whichever of those stong Belgian goldens), and 17 months of aging made it nice and soft, though some papery notes are beginning to form. Not sure if I have any more left, but I do have a few from even earlier years. |
