| A style I didn't care much for when I first started on my journey drinking German beer. Must say recently weizen is a beer I find myself drinking more and more of. Unfortunately in NRW we only get the macro brewed stuff and although some are damn good the choice is limited. Personally I prefer the helles variety. I would be interested in your thoughts on Franken weizens and the difference in taste to the weizens further south within Bayern, differences in flavour, aroma etc. Its a style of beer I find does not get much coverage on this board as opposed to keller beer etc. Maybe thats down to lack of availability within the Franken brewery scene? |
