Given that "true porters" are top fermented I'm not sure what type of interpretation a bottom fermented version would be. Just a caramel-like dunkel I would guess, similar to those offerings from Lausitzer and Neuzelle which I've also had the misfortune of trying. I look forward to trying the Mainseidla version this weekend ;) |
