Zoigl Stub'n

I've never had zoigl in the 'Hof' - tried once but it was ruhetag, though how you can have a ruhetag in a hotel beats me. As Don says, hardly the atmosphere of a zoiglstub'e but I do recall someone telling me last year that, rather than using straight CO2 as a propellant, they use a gas mixture, perhaps CO2 and nitrogen, like Guinness. So, a tasting might be interesting - have to give it a try Don. Similarly, don't know that I'd spend too much time in Waldnaab - another hotel with zoigl brewed by the man from Teicher, I believe. Slight divergence of opinion, as I was not impressed with Brauwirt in Weiden and haven't ventured across the rail tracks to Gambrinus. I assume the Loistl beer tastes much the same in the Alter Pfarrhof as the home pub in Eschawo, so worth giving it a try if you have time - it is the zoigl with the highest proportion of Munchener malt, so a little different from the others. Definitely go to Kramer-Wolff in Falkenberg - a bar of great character and lovely beer. Also pop in to the Roten Ochsen, a few hundred metres away. Ok, it's a hotel but it's a 15th/16th century one and has great character and a very nice zoigl.
