Weiherer Keller Bier

What exactly was so blow-away-ish about it? Not that I doubt you, but I don't remember if I've ever had the bottled Kellerbier. Pale or dark? Their new (?) bottled Keller-Pils (stupidly categorised as "Keller-Land-Zwickelbier", not "Pils" at that one webbie!) is quite qood- Had a bottle recently and was immediately reminded of the excellent summer seasonal Pils-style beer by Widmer in Portland (Oregon, natch!) from 1997 - 1998. A slight bit of butter in the nose and palate along with a firm hoppiness. Their Urstöffla disappointed though, couldn't choke even half the bottle down. Sweeeeet. Lovely location, but it's been a few years since I've been. The draught Lager there didn't wow me much. The Bock, however, was quite decent.
