OT: Muenchen

There's more to Munich than, well, Munich itself. The extensive public transport system is also at your disposal, and that can work out well. I like the Ayinger beers (which, as noted, are to be had in Munich as well) at their own pub(s) in their eponymous suburban village. Of the two, you might prefer Liebhart's to the much more upmarket Ayinger Gasthof. It's a pleasant walk from Aying's S-Bahn station in good weather. Bonus: often a Kellerbier or similar is available.
