Regensburg

Really like Regensburg, spending an afternoon there in a month or so. It's definately worth a visit from both a beer and tourist point of view and a couple of days is more than enough to enjoy both. Whilst the best brewery by far is Kneitinger, the beer garden at Spital on a sunny day, sitting on the banks of the Danube with views to the old town and cathedral is very hard to beat. It's also a good base to explore some of the breweries in the East of Bavaria with good rail connections to numerous beer friendly destinations.
