| Frank Wetzel used to have a business shipping beer and he did ship to the US. Long after he stopped that, he would still occasionally send me a box of three 5L "Party Fässer". It usually came to about US$150 with most of that being the postage. It worked out to be about $5 per half liter glass -- not great but not too bad. This way you weren't paying to ship glass and there was less chance of breakage. The Euro as at about US$1.10-$1.20 back then -- then it spiked and would have been way too expensive. |
