| Why on earth would you think you'd run into me there? Seriously, this might be the first season when I take the bus & train thither...there. Having a puppy who's too young to run 26 km will likely cramp my biking style. We've got a bike trailer for him, but whether taking that on the S-Bahn at Eggolsheim for the return home will work conveniently is another issue. Then again, why shouldn't it? The S-Bahn's never been even remotely close to full on regular weekdays at rush-hour. OTOH, the cost of a 31 day MobiKarte (valid for me, another person, 2 bikes and a dog to travel round trip from home to the Keller and back) is a staggeringly affordable 79,30€. Heck, that's how much I pay when I buy 13 single tickets for me and my bike for the S-Bahn from Eggolsheim or Forchheim ... for JUST the return trip home after the Keller session! Heck^2: I could buy a yearly pass for 127,90€, which would pay for itself after only 20 such Kellersessions! Plus, I could save a lot on trips to Bamberg or elsewhere north of Forchheim... Have to look at my GPS records, but I'm pretty sure I went to Roppelt, Kreuzberg, and/or Witzgall well over 20 times last year. |
