OT: Reduction in UK beer prices

Part of the reason why this is being treated like a big deal is that it's not just that the duty is reduced; it's that HM Guv'm'nt decided to scrap the planned beer duty escalator, which would have resulted in substantial increases in prices across the board. Prices vary from crazily expensive (London) to still a reasonable buy (the north, even in a big city like Manchester).
