BSF coming to Bamberg next year.

I've been in Germany over the Easter weekend more than once, even in different parts of the country. Retail business shut on Good Friday (Karfreitag) and Easter Sunday and Monday, but many are open on the Saturday. But if you're looking to go out for food & drink, the majority of pubs and restaurants are open and then some. In good weather especially, many kellers and beer gardens will be heaving. You'll not have much trouble finding open venues to get your drink in. In my experience, the really big shut-down day is Christmas Eve; by dinner-time, cities and towns are very quiet indeed.
