| Of the two S-R breweries, one is the rather upmarket Sperber, good range of beers on (although I ordered a bottled beer there once out of curiosity, and it was off, but speedily replaced with a good beer from the tap) with overnight accomodation. The other, Fuchsbeck, is more homey (gemütlich in its own way) and down-to-earth, and the young people who run the place were very pleasant. The town itself is quite pretty too. Amberg has been on my destination list for a while. Might even get there this time! |
