Franken holiday locations

Having visited Ebermannstadt and Weissenburg only on day trips, I still would recommend both. Lichtenfels/Bad Staffelstein are a good destination as well (stayed in L'fels last year). All these places have train stations and decent other public transport. Wunsiedel would be more of a problem in that respect. Another area would be Pegnitz and Neuhaus/Pegnitz, I think.
