German rail pass - letter to cancel card

"Remember to send this letter at least 6 weeks before the end date on your card." Well, I'd say make sure it arrives at Deutsche Bahn at least 6 weeks before the end date. For those who buy one on a special offer just to use it for a couple of weeks' holiday (vacation) travels: send the letter as soon as you're done travelling. There's quite a bit of discussion on the internet of how to make sure you take the "Kündigungsfristen" (cancellation deadlines) properly into account when signing up for this or that special offer deal, and how to best write the letters. Tchibo USB sticks included, I reckon.
