Beergeekery

Mine is based on my life as a beer geek in Oregon and Erlangen. Ticking was something I'd never heard of until I got familiar with the British beer culture. The rating website stuff didn't exist in my OR life, just discussion forums. By your definition, I couldn't have been a beer geek in, say, 1994, though I called myself one back then and had friends who did likewise, although we weren't tickers, nor did we say the most extreme beer was the best, nor did we entsprechen to most of your other tongue-in-cheek criteria. Yours is the *worst case* example of beergeekery though.
