Not mad on Wolf, beer is often quite gassy but I guess I'd love to have it on offer here! Just checked on the calender. Thurs May 9 is a big day in Bavaria - it's my birthday! Seriously, it also happens to be Ascension Day (Himmelsfahrt), which is quite an occasion in Windisch/Neuhaus. Checking the zoigl diary again, I see that Gloser, Schoilmichel and Kaeck'n are open from Thurs 9 May, as opposed to normal first opening on a Friday. I was surprised to see that Wolf is only posted as open from 10 May in the zoigl calender because they usually make a big day of any public holiday (stadt kapelle, children's fairground rides, special bread - they are owned by Foerster, the baker on the Hauptstr., etc). So, I checked on their website and there it states open from 9 - 12 May. Mark, this is a pretty good time to be in Eschawo! We're not quite sure about travel arrangements yet, but I anticipate travelling Romantische (? is this correct) strasse maybe on the 8th or 9th. Slight clash with above but anyway, we'll see a bit nearer the time. Be nice to set up a meet with you and Juergen (and Nick?) at Spielbach. Incidentally, saw the consultant this morning and the op has been a big success. He was delighted with himself and I was a bit pleased myself. Have to check PSA levels in 2 months but he gave me the green light for holiday in May/June - great news! |
