Unlocking Cell Phones Now Illegal in the US |

| It's not the SIM that is locked (that always goes to one provider) but the "Surf Stick" (or USB Modem) can be locked or unlocked. My Tchibo is one of the original ones that was unlocked. I use it mostly with a Vodafone SIM in Germany, but it has had SIMs from all over Europe. I also bought a modem from BASE in Belgium that is unlocked. (I had forgotten my Tchibo one). So if anybody in the US would like to borrow it for a trip, let me know. You have to provide your own data SIM, though. |
