Malzgetränk as opposed to Malzbier, as there's a whole "style" (to borrow from the Yank homebrewers) of alcohol-free drinks made from malt (according to the Reinheitsgebot, natürlich!) that are different from non-alcoholic beer in some way...a way in which I really have no interest in learning more about. What springs immediately to mind is the Pinkus Malzbier on the shelves at the organic grocers. Nein, danke. So, yeah, "alcohol-containing Malzgetränk" sounds a bit funny.
