DNS issues

The service who provides my DNS service changed platforms sometime on Wednesday and they did not do a good job. Everything was upgefucked. They deleted the "A" record for www (so franconiabeerguide.com worked by not www.franconiabeerguide) and the pointed the "catch all" to some random IP address. At first I thought it was my laptop because when I connect to my home computer it worked fine, but my home ISP is notorious for slow updates to their DNS (which was a good thing in this case). Of course Thursday I was traveling from Germany to Belgium and it was a while before I could get reliable internet access and diagnose (and fix the problem). As Jimbo noted www.BambergBeerGuide.com is a synonym and when I get back it will be moved to a different DNS host. So in the future if there are strange problems with one, try the other.
