Forchheim

You planning on a Forchheim visit? The world's largest (or "loveliest"?) advent calendar, the Rathaus, is the scene of a daily event: the opening of one of the 24 advent windows by the Forchheimer Christkind ("Christmas angel/child"??) with a little speech at 18.30. Lovely little Weihnachtsmarkt with local beer as well as Liefman's Glühkriek last year. Hope the latter's back again this year. Not sure when I'll be going, but definitely will be, at least a couple of times if the Liefman's is there. I could point out the Mauerscheißer to you if we meet up. I probably won't be staying until 18.30 though, at least not until my mother visits next week.
