Thanks Chap, that's very enlightening. I've said before that I live on a very narrow and twisty country road, which has an unbelievable speed limit of 80 kph, despite being below the standard of a German (or even British) farm track. To the average driver, this seems to mean that you must endeavour to travel at 80 kph. Needless to say, there are very few cyclists and, now, very few pedestrians. |
