recommendations for eating in Bamberg

The station *closes*? Never thought of that. But in any case, Bamberg is not located in the UK or US where they have to close off underground passages for the night. Or...? I don't think I've seen gates, anyway. Do they actually close the Bahnhof? Cursory googling suggests the hall is closed from 22.30 (!) to 5.00. But trains stop there well after 22.30 -- I've been inside the hall after missing the last train.
