Bamberg Bockbieranstiche

I live right around the corner from Klosterbräu and enjoyed their Bockbieranstich last year. Klosterbräu has the major advantage that they open their two-storied beer hall on Judenstraße for this event and thus it is still possible to get a spot an hour after the Anstich kicks off. As several of the other posters have mentioned already, students tend to crowd a lot of the breweries and getting their early improves your chances. I'm interested to see how it will be this year now that the student enrollment has increased from 9,000 to 12,500 over the course of the previous years. Although I have never been a huge fan of Schlenkerla, their bock on tap is pretty legit and definitely worth a try of you want to try anything from them that even slightly resembles beer. As a side note, Brauerei Knoblach in Schammelsdorf is a favorite as well.
