Best airfare between Amsterdam and Nuremberg or Frankfurt

There was an article in the paper a while back about the possibility of a direct NUE-BRU flight coming, but I can't find anything online about it now. When people aren't crushed for time during their hols (like B&J luckily enough), then the value of time spent in trains and buses getting to and from airports served by the cheapest airlines isn't so great a loss. Us, we're flying NUE-AMS-MAN again in a month, taking off at 10.15 and supposedly landing before 13.00, with a 50 minute transfer at AMS. That's tight, but if we miss it, 3-4 hours spent in Amsterdam on an afternoon won't be the worst thing in the world. Getting into Sheffield in the early evening rather than the afternoon won't be as nice though.
